Financial year switch and period lock
Published by Cruzeviz on . Updated .
Pick the financial year at the top of Cruzeviz. Reports and lists follow the year you picked, so you are looking at one year at a time.
Unpaid invoices carry forward. An invoice that was still open at the end of the year remains open in the next year until it is paid or credited. You do not re-enter it.
Period lock
Past months lock by themselves a few days after they end. A locked month keeps filed figures as they were filed. You can review the lock settings if you need a different wait before a month closes. Unlocking, when you are allowed to, is a deliberate step. It is there so a routine edit does not rewrite a month you have already closed.
The financial year in Cruzeviz follows the Indian April to March year used by the reports. Locking a month does not file your return. It only protects the figures in your account.
