Vendors, payments made and debit notes
Published by Cruzeviz on . Updated .
Purchase bills now belong to a vendor, and each bill shows what is still to pay.
Record a full payment or a part payment against the bill. The outstanding amount moves with the payment, so you can see what you still owe that vendor. Vendor outstanding lists who you owe across open bills.
When you return goods
Issue a debit note for goods you return. The debit note is tied to the purchase, so the amount you owe comes down by the value of the return. It is the purchase-side pair of a credit note you would issue to your own customer.
The vendor record stays in your account. A debit note on the website guides explains the document. It does not list your suppliers.
